Shed TV - January 2012

Happy New Year to all our Shed Online members. We hope you’ve had a cracking Festive Season. We're looking forward to another big year in 2012. We’ll be rolling out new activities, news, health information, and opportunities for members to get involved via discussions, Q&A sessions, and more.

Feedback: We’re interested to know what you want from the site this year. If you’ve got suggestions for The Shed Online, let us know via our Feedback Form.

Dr Karl Kruszelnicki Q&A: To start the year off with a bang, we’ve got the first in a series of interview segments with renowned science man, Karl Kruszelnicki. Shed Online members sent in lots of questions for us to put to Dr. Karl. Take a look and see what he had to say, and keep an eye out for more over the coming months.

Cooking for blokes: Our "Cooking for blokes" segments continue with our mate Tom in the kitchen. This month there’s recipes for pizza dough and a delicious gourmet pizza.

Subscribe to a podcast: We have a new technology activity. It’s all about "podcasting" - what a podcast is, and how to find podcasts that interest you. If you have a computer or a portable MP3 player then you can listen to podcasts about any subject - for free! Take a look at our expert guide.

Positive relationships: Our health focus this month is relationships - how to maintain them, and keep them healthy. We’ve uploaded some insightful tips for building positive relationships, and they're on the site now:

Relationships Q&A: We’ve also arranged for a "question and answer" session with a relationships expert. If you’re after some advice, or have a question you can post it right here in the Discussions section and we’ll have responses for you in early February.

Favourite online videos: And, for a bit of fun, we've collated our pick of some of the best online videos from 2011. Take a look at this discussion topic, and if you've got some favourites of your own, post them up and take part in the discussion.

We’ll get back to you a little later in the month with some more additions to the site. In the meantime, we hope you’re enjoying the summer.

Thanks for joining us on The Shed Online in 2012. It's great to have your company.

'Til next time, Shedders!
