Aged-care system could collapse without funding

The aged care industry says the system is at risk of collapsing, if the Federal Government doesn't use next month's budget to set out its plans to care for Australia's ageing population.

The Government has acknowledged that the aged-care system is in crisis, but won't yet say what it plans to do about it. A new international report on the burgeoning spread of dementia is intensifying the pressure on the Government.
