Rain like Christmas in July for grains

Rainfall of up to 50mm across the parched western Riverina and Victorian Mallee has reignited farmers’ hopes of getting a profitable crop this year. There have also been solid falls in parts of Western Australia that were struggling for moisture, further consolidating the prospects of the national crop.
