Discussion Navigation Page

Discussions are forums for conversations that are grouped together into logical categories.  An example hierarchy structure is shown below:

Discussions

Discussions may contain other discussions, topics or posts.  Discussions are therefore represented by a folder icon (shown below):

Topics

Topics represent a thread of conversation and may be replied to.  Topics are represented with a speech bubble icon.

Featured discussions

On the main discussion page shown below you can see that two discussions are shown - "General" and "Fix it and DIY".  On the right hand side are listed the most popular discussions and some featured forums that the moderators have highlighted for you to display topics of interest.  (Note that these examples are provided for display purposes and may differ from the actual discussions on the site).

Pre-moderated

All posts are subject to review by the moderation team.

Discussions and topics that are pre-moderated require that the moderation team approve all posts within them before they are displayed on the site.

Post-moderated

Discussions and topics that are post-moderated allow posts to be displayed immediately on the site.  The moderation team will still read and approve these posts.

Locked discussions

You may view posts contained within a locked topic but you may not create new posts, or reply to existing posts.
