These websites work by advertising an item that is on special each day. They usually have a limited number of that item available and are only available for 24 hours. Sometimes, if it is a great deal or a popular item, it will sell out within an hour.

Oz Bargain - www.ozbargain.com.au
This website has some great bargains on it! User's post any deals that they come across. This could vary from a special at Coles to bargain flight to Cairns. Once a deal has been posted to the site, members can vote on how good the deal is.
The most popular bargains are promoted on the site so that there is more of a chance that only true bargains are being shown.

Another couple of sites to check out are http://www.scoopon.com.au and http://www.jumponit.com. You can sign up and they'll send 'daily deals' to your email address.

For those not afraid to have a tinker building their own PC's, or for those wanting to upgrade their current rigs, I recommend MSY - http://www.msy.com.au. They have great prices and a big range of stuff. They can get very busy on the weekend but it's worth a bit of a lineup.

Use the following link to get onto scoopon: www.scoopon.com.au. Once you're there, choose a city in Australia. (The link below does not work.)

There are numerous sites available now if you want to grab a bargain and if you are prepared to try online buying. I have been purchasing goods on the net for some years now and have never had a real problem. I tend to use paypal if available, or my credit card for sites that I know well. Some sites to consider, apart from good old ebay, are:
www.crazysales.com.au
www.catchoftheday.com.au
www.graysonline.com.au
www.tradingpost.com.au
probably my favourite is Graysonline, mainly because of the great wine deals available. Grays also specialize in computers and other electronic wizbangs
have fun checking these sites out
