Dessert pizza
Continuing on from our dough and gourmet pizza recipes, Tom shows us how to make a delicious chocolate and banana dessert pizza.
(Makes 2 small)
Preparation time: 15 mins
Dough ingredients
- 1 cup bread flour
- 1 flat teaspoon dry yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon oil
- ½ cup lukewarm water
Topping Ingredients
- Hazlenut chocolate spread
- Ripe bananas
- Icing sugar
- Mascarpone cheese
Method
- To make the dough mix the dry ingredients and add water until a thick consistency
- Knead for 10 mins
- Rest covered until doubled in sized
- Roll out into a pizza base
- Pre heat oven to 200°C
- Baste the top of the pizza lightly with butter
- Bake for 12 mins until brown
- Allow pizza to cool for a few minutes
- Spread on hazelnut chocolate to desired thickness
- Add slices of ripe banana
- Place in the oven for a minute or so
- Remove and dust with icing sugar
- Slice into pieces
- Add a dollop of mascarpone cheese to each piece and serve
